EASTERN BLACK KINGSNAKES

Lampropeltis nigra

Helvetica Light is an easy to read font, with tall and narrow letters, that works well on almost every site.

A larger species of kingsnake mainly in length rather than girth, usually mainly black in appearance but can have some white, cream or yellow pattern on top with normally a chequered belly pattern.

The pattern on the dorsal part of the snake comes from some hybridisation between the speckled kings that extend into part of its range.

Our future breeders come from Casey County, Kentucky - hopefully they will be jet black like their parents.

Pure examples of these are very rare in captivity especially in European collections .
